Categories are labels you create and define with the purpose of:

ØAssigning transactions to them, and

ØUsing reports to track information from your transactions by categories.

How to Create a New Category

1.Go through Settings > Inventory Settings > Category List;

2.Click New Category.

3.Fill the information as per requirement;

4.Save.

Inventory Category Field Explained

          

 

1.New Category: Users may use this button to create a New Category.

2.Actions: There are three options under Actions, which are Edit Category, Delete Category and Show Inactive Inventory.

          

a.Edit Category: Users may change the Category’s name by clicking this action.

b.Delete Category: Any transactions related Categories cannot be removed/deleted. When attempted, the following warning message will appear“ you have items under this Category now, you cannot Delete this category!”

c.Show Inactive Inventory: Users may include all the inactive categories into Category List by selecting this action.

3.Exit: Click Exit to return to the  Dashboard.
